In order to support new student registration program (PPDB), Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept. has sent verification team for PPDB service post in Education Dept. Office, Jalan Gatot Subroto, South Jakarta.

If they doubt on population residence data, we will verify it

Jakarta Population and Civil Registration Dept. Head, Edison Sianturi said the team will be assigned to verify the population residence data, such as citizen identification numbers (NIK) and domicile letter. They will work until PPDB service is done on June 23, 2017.

"Our role is to support Education Dept. in terms of the verification. If they doubt on population residence data, we will verify it," he stated, Tuesday (6/6).

He explains one of the most crucial verification issues is about mutation data. Based on one of PPDB provisions, the school location is adjusted to the domicile during recruitment process through local track.

"Those who are accepted in school must reside in accordance with domicile start on April 1. If not, they must be in the new place," he asserted. 

Jakarta Education Dept. Vice Head, Bowo Irianto explains, student recruitment via PPDB has two tracks, namely public and local. Especially public track, residents are allowed to register in all locations.

"It begins on June 5-7. And for local track, will begin on June 15-17, must be in accordance with the domicile," he closed.
